SAFELY BACK ON U.S. SOIL! We are in LA, having spent the night at ROb's moms house - the Fuentes clan greeted us at the airport.... Apparently the whole extended Cuban side of the family had planned a whole WELCOME DAISY parade for LAX complete with balloons, banners, flowers, teddy bears, and rice pudding, but we blew it by coming home early. Daisy is bonding thoroughly with her new aunts, grandmas, grandpas, cousins, etc. She has also become even more vocal than ever, I think she's been taking yodeling lessons when we weren't looking.

Daisy did great on the 12 hour plane ride.... There were about 35 adoptive families on the flight we took. Quite a scene, especially as it was a red-eye. I so pity the non-adoptive passengers. I know I personally would have been cursing my luck watching infant after infant board. But it was pretty calm except for a few baby freakouts here and there.

Anyway, we are planning to drive back to SLO tonight, and will be SO happy to land home. We are totally turned around time-wise, so it will take us probably about a week to get back to a normal routine. Can't wait to watch the cats meet Miss Daisy!
